Biography PDF Print E-mail

Jenn has been singing since the age of 2, when her pianist cousin discovered her ability of perfect pitch. She has literally grown up on the stage, singing publicly since the age of 7. She sang for school musicals and special events; national, state, and regional competitions, and in the Jazz Choir "Live Rhythm" in High School. She also spent time singing the National Anthem and special music for events such as, school pep rallies, varsity basketball games and the Special Olympics. She also had the honor of representing Leo High School in the category of "Music" in the city of Ft. Wayne, IN, as a "Sterling Sentinel Nominee".  Jenn also found herself in the music at church more than anywhere else. She began singing in adult services at her 2,000-member church; in the church musicals to name one,"The Gospel According to Scrooge" in the role of Belle; as well as, for special music, camp meetings, street ministries and tent revivals.

Following her heart, Jenn entered Oral Roberts University majoring in Music. Her experiences there were vast. She performed in over half a dozen musical groups in the music department, to include Chamber Singers and Woman's Chorus. Outside of the Music Department there at ORU, she auditioned and was accepted for "Frontline", an elite praise and worship team, that performed in tri-weekly chapel services for the campus, as well as, all over the country and abroad every Fall, Spring, and Summer Break. "Frontline" also took over the TV ministry, and Jenn began doing live tapings singing for the Richard Roberts Show. She graduated in 2004 with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.

Since that time, Jenn has been involved in a number of projects spanning from voice overs to video slots, for example, commercials for "Tahitian Noni Juice" and various vitamins. She has been privileged to help friends in the Industry as background vocal or demoing new music. She has also done consulting work for new musicals and written various classical pieces for Independent Films. Her voice has been used in music for documentaries as well. She has also remained steadfast in her commitment to stay plugged in to the local body of Christ. While stationed in Alabama, Jenn was placed on staff at Harvest Family Church as Assistant Music Director, a part of the main Praise Team, and Youth Worship Leader.  After moving, she was a Youth Praise Leader for the youth group "Inversion" at Fellowship of Faith Christian Church in Oakland, IA. Upon moving into Nebraska, she also began work as one of the Praise and Worship Leaders for Shadow Lake Community Church, Papillion, NE, sharing the platform on a mostly bi-monthly basis in special music or Sunday AM music. Remaining active in ministry, she toured the month of March in 2006 with "Notes and Hope Tour" featuring several independent artists such as Brant Christopher (one of the trio of Fort Pastor) and Pamela Clark of Salt Mine Ministeries from Panama. She has also been privileged to sing for events, retirements, and change of commands at various bases for in the USAF.

Currently, Jennifer is working on her first self-titled Debut EP to be released this Summer 2009!  She is also a member of the Shreveport Opera Company.

Due to her studies at ORU and her lifelong experience on stage, Jennifer is not only able to sing Classical/Opera, but she also sings Jazz, Pop, Adult Contemporary, and a little bit of R&B. Her favorite and the focus of her songwriting/singing is Jazz. Her songwriting styles are as versatile as her voice, reflecting her life, love and relationships, and not to mention her desire is to serve God through music in whatever capacity she can, blooming where she is planted.

Jenn Green has two lovely daughters, Hannah and Sarah.
